Thirteen Things
I’ve
Experienced
In My Life
Some Good
Some Not So Good!
(in no particular order)
.
.
.
1. When I worked for the Fire Dept, I helped deliver a baby.
.
2. I also helped stop a man from commiting suicide in front of his kids.
.
3. I worked in the middle of the Los Angeles Riots.
.
4. There isn’t anything that can faze me. I’ve seen pretty much everything.
.
5. Prior to the Fire Dept, I worked for the Sheriff Dept.
.
6. I met, lived with and became engaged to a Deputy.
.
7. 2 days before our wedding, I found out he was still married. (Don’t ask unless you plan on getting me drunk first).
.
8. I was told many years ago, long before I married anyone, that I was unable to have children.
.
9. Surprise! I have two boys that were conceived quite naturally, thank you very much.
.
10. I suffered from PPD (post-partum depression) after giving birth to boy #1. It was severe and lasted a little over a year. I said I would never have anymore children, ever.
.
11. Obviously, I lied. I had boy #2. By choice.
.
12. No, I didn’t suffer from PPD the 2nd time around. I was quite happy and even told my husband to cancel his month long paternity leave and go back to work.
.
13. Yes, I’m quite content now. I’ve hit some rough spots along the way, but that’s okay. I wouldn’t change a thing!
