This is Why There are Bloggers.

How many times have you read a blog post on someone’s blog that has a link to another blog and then off you go, deeper and deeper into other blogs?  So deep that you end up forgetting where you even began?  Well, this is one of those times for me.  I started at Tracey’s where I clicked on this link about Nie (a nickname from her name: Stephanie) who is known in the blogger world to a lot of people through her own wonderful blog.  I have not had the pleasure of ‘meeting’ Nie through her blog yet and wish it would have been under different circumstances, however, as far as I’m concerned, the blogging world has brought many bloggers together in these last few weeks and I’m glad I’ve learned of Nie.   On August 16th, Stephanie and her husband Christian were in a private plane crash that killed one person, her husband burned over 30% of his body and Stephanie burned over 80% of her body.  Yesterday was Nie-Nie day and there is a lot going on in the blogworld right now to try to raise money to go towards their medical bills and recovery.  They have 4 small children and they need all the prayers we can give them right now.  You can make a donation or check out the many auctions occuring as well.  There are many people that have jumped on Nie’s beautiful band wagon, myself included.  You don’t have to donate or buy anything, but do say a prayer.  One can never have too many prayers said for them.  To quote Nie’s sister Jane,

“I am starting to believe that there is no such thing as tragedy. There is only opportunity for growth, and should you accept it, the reward overcomes the sailing of the hardship”.

I couldn’t agree more.  God Bless Stephanie, Christian and their family.
